This week’s 3DS eShop Update is headlined by Pokémon Dream Radar – an AR game where you catch Pokémon and obtain items by shooting light beams at ‘Dream Clouds’. The game can be linked to Pokémon Black and White 2 to unlock various bonuses including hidden abilities for certain Pokémon. There are also two other new games on the 3DS eShop this week including the cerebrally challenging Robot Rescue 2 and the action adventure Hana Samurai: Art of the Sword.
Here’s this week’s Update in full:

-
Hana Samurai: Art of the Sword – £6.29 / €6.99
- Leave button-mashing behind. Hana Samurai: Art of the Sword is about precision swordplay, battlefield finesse, and martial-arts style. As the heroic title character, you’ll travel a world rife with exquisite beauty and deadly danger to rescue the legendary Princess Cherry Blossom. Her kidnapper has set dozens of blade-wielding henchmen in your path, and you’ll have to exercise your best battle senses to defeat them and save her. Learn to predict your foes’ moves, deftly dodge their attacks and create opportunities for devastating counter-attacks. Start with the Sakura Sword, a little health and some basic training from your water-spirit guide. Make your way from battleground to battleground fighting waves of increasingly cunning enemies. Fight through huge castles to face epic bosses. And don’t forget to stop at small villages along the way to get help, gear and encouragement from the quirky townsfolk. Prove that you truly are the Sakura Samurai!
-
Pokémon Dream Radar (Releases October 12th) – £2.69 / €2.99
- In the game you’ll be taking on the role of an assistant who works for Professor Burnet – a scientist studying the Interdream Zone. Move your Nintendo 3DS system around in this motion-controlled action game and take aim to shoot your light beam at the Dream Clouds and collect your rewards! This game is fun for anybody, and a fact-filled accompaniment to Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2. Any caught Pokémon or items you pick up in Pokémon Dream Radar can be transferred to Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, which is very useful, since the Pokémon you catch might have hidden abilities not available for those games, and some items that can’t normally be found either.

Robot Rescue 2 – £1.80 / €2.00
- If you’re tired of brain-bending logic games that your baby brother can solve, then you need Robot Rescue 2! The rules may be simple, but finding success isn’t quite so easy. Your mission: navigate a cadre of codependent robots through an evil computer labyrinth brimming with deadly traps. Additionally, at certain points you’ll need to repaint your robots by stepping on a special tile in order to change their colour. Only then will they be able to access the right exit or passage. Oh, and did we mention that the robots share linked controls? Moving one moves them all! Bust out your best thinking cap: it’ll take patience, planning and nerves of titanium to see your robots home safely!
