If you can’t wait to start solving puzzles in Professor Layton’s latest adventure then you’ll be interested to know that Nintendo has launched a teaser site for Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask that allows you to try out two brain-teasers from the game on a virtual 3DS XL.
These browser-based puzzles see Professor Layton and his trusty apprentice Luke Triton untangling a clumsy clown from his own balloon strings and firing a series of slingshots in the correct sequence in order to ring a bell.
The teaser site for Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask also provides a succinct overview of its intriguing plot:
“A strange character known as the Masked Gentleman is terrorising the city of Monte d’Or, and only Professor Layton’s superior intellectual powers can puzzle out a way to unmask this mysterious threat. However, to solve the mysteries of today, you must delve into flashbacks of the professor’s past and play as 17 year-old Layton!”
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask will be the first game in the series to feature 3D graphics, and boasts an incredible 515 puzzles after you factor in the 365 brain-teasers that are going to be released via SpotPass every day for a year following the game’s launch.
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask will be released exclusively for 3DS on October 26th in European territories and October 28th in the US. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of Professor Layton’s 3DS debut.
