Here we go again, EA. Just as we’re beginning to wind down on a Friday afternoon, the publisher goes and unveils an exciting announcement for one of its upcoming shooters – it gets us every time!
What’s the announcement this time? Medal of Honor: Warfighter is getting an open multiplayer beta in early October!
According to EA, the multiplayer taster will be exclusive to Xbox 360 and will feature one of Warfighter’s included modes, HotSpot, “where players attack and defend randomly-selected locations on the Sarajevo Stadium map in Bosnia.
“Inspired by real life operations,” writes EA, “players team-up in pairs using the game’s unique co-op Fireteam system for a competitive advantage on the battlefield.”
In addition, simply for taking part in the Warfighter beta you will receive 60 minutes of Double XP time when the full game releases in late October, and your download efforts will also go towards unlocking the new Linkin Park ‘Castle of Glass’ music video.
“EA will release the video five days after the beta launches but gamers can unlock it earlier by downloading the beta and hitting the three million download mark.” Sounds challenging, but very doable.
