South African videogame distributor Megarom has today announced that the release of both Borderlands 2 and F1 2012 have been delayed by a week in South Africa “due to unforeseen circumstances.”

“Complications in shipping” that are “out of the distributor’s control,” are cited as the reason for the delay for both titles, and have resulted in the games’ releases being pushed back to September 27th, rather than their intended September 21st release.

CEO of Megarom Interactive, Philip Court, said in a statement:

“Megarom prides itself on releasing games that are in-line with European release dates, and it’s unfortunate that we have been forced to push out the release of these two highly anticipated titles.

“Unfortunately there are times that things go wrong and we [Megarom] will do our best to work around these issues to ensure they are resolved as quickly as possible.”

Very unfortunate news indeed. Did you intend picking up Borderlands 2 or F1 2012 this Friday? Or even both titles?
