Major announcements planned for Metal Gear 25th Anniversary event

Kojima Productions hasn’t had much to share with players in recent years in terms of brand new titles. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker represents the developer’s last original game and that was released back in 2010 for the PSP. However this isn’t to say that Kojima Productions hasn’t been keeping busy on projects such as the cross-platform Fox Engine and potentially the next entry in the incredibly popular Metal Gear Solid series.

The good news for Kojima Productions fans in that the developer plans to unveil some of its current projects at the Metal Gear 25th anniversary event that takes place this Thursday, August 30th.

On the latest episode of The Kojima Productions Report staff member Ken Mendoza said the event will feature “a lot of exciting announcements” while Chris Johns teased: “I think the industry’s gonna be shook by what we’re going to be able to present here.”

Last month Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima confirmed that the Fox Engine will be demoed during the event so there’s a good chance that we’ll see first footage of one of Kojima Productions’ upcoming titles that utilises the engine.

Tune in to El33tonline this Thursday for all the announcements from this exciting event!
