On day one of gamescom 2012, El33tonline attended the first ever livestream for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer which was broadcast online to (potentially) millions of viewers around the world.
Before the event began, a professional camera crew was making the rounds with expensive (and heavy) looking equipment while the evening’s hosts, Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb and Graeme ‘AceyBongos’ Boyd, sauntered around the room looking very casual despite the jittery nature of their nerves – this was a major event!
The room in which the live audience was located (which El33tonline was a part of) hosted over 70 Xbox 360 consoles dedicated to Black Ops 2 multiplayer, while an adjacent room held another 70+ machines, all of which were occupied by gamers who had wiggled their way in.
We had the pleasure of meeting Graeme Boyd again, as well as meeting Larry Hryb for the first time, who said he was keen to visit South Africa to go shark diving. Not a good idea, we warned, and he acknowledged that the locals would probably know better than the visitors – we can confirm that both AceyBongos and Major Nelson are just as impressive, energetic and enthusiastic in person as they are in online circles.
We have a few photos from the Black Ops 2 multiplayer livestream to share with you at El33tonline’s Facebook page, but we were unfortunately unable to take many more than these due to the nature of the event – enjoy.
Look forward to El33tonline’s eyes-on and hands-on previews of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in the near future.
