Earlier this year Sony filed a trademark for Until Dawn but until yesterday we could only surmise what kind of game it was.
During Sony’s pre-gamescom press conference the platform holder revealed that Until Dawn is a PS Move enabled title for PS3 that’s being developed by Start the Party! studio Supermassive Games.
The game is a celebration of the B-grade horror movie genre judging by its cast of hormonal teenagers and isolated, spooky setting.
Here’s more on the game’s plot courtesy of the PlayStation Blog:
“On the anniversary of their friends’ disappearance, a group of classmates visit the site of the mystery to bury their ghosts and get some closure. Little do they know, they’ll end up burying each other instead:
“Just like in classic horror films it’s isolated, the power’s out and the phones don’t work! You’ll play through the story as multiple characters, sometimes with a friend and sometimes on your own to discover who it is that’s intent on killing off you and your friends.”

The game is currently scheduled for a 2013 release.
