Sony’s pre-gamescom press conference may have been dominated by new game announcements but the platform holder also had some good news for those of us who can’t wait to be able to play PSone Classics on our PS Vitas.
PS Vita will receive a firmware update on August 28th which unlocks the large library of classic PSone titles already on the PlayStation Store and makes them playable on the device. These games are currently only compatible with PS3 and PSP.
The new firmware may also contain additional tweaks and upgrades to the Vita’s capabilities which we should hear about over the next couple of weeks. We’ll keep you posted on any new details as they emerge!
