Being able to purchase full retail titles in digital format is a wonderful convenience, particularly for gamers who live outside of urban areas. This week marks the first time Nintendo will make retail 3DS titles available on the UK eShop, and the platform holder has now confirmed how much each of the three games on offer will cost you.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be available this Friday from the 3DS eShop for £39.99 – around ten pounds more than what other retailers such as Amazon UK are selling it for. FreakyForms Deluxe will set you back £24.99 while New Art Academy will cost £29.99 (£10 more than Amazon UK).
Only time will tell if Nintendo’s pricing structure for 3DS retail downloads hits the right notes with consumers, but at least for now the option is there for gamers who don’t mind paying extra for the convenience of having almost instant access to highly anticipated titles like New Super Mario Bros. 2.
