Activision and Treyarch unleashed a very impressive debut trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer recently, but when will the public get to see it? When will the public get to play it?
The answer is ‘very soon,’ as it’s been announced today that the live worldwide premiere for Black Ops 2 multiplayer will take place during gamescom 2012 next week in Germany.
For the first time ever, gamers will be able to go hands-on with Black Ops 2 multiplayer at Activision’s booth on the showfloor of gamescom 2012, well ahead of the game’s release in November.
gamescom 2012 attendees will be able to play Black Ops 2 from day one of the show, August 15th, in what Activision calls a “massive Call of Duty Multiplayer arena,” while Xbox LIVE’s Major Nelson and AceyBongos will host a live gameplay session of Black Ops 2 multiplayer at 5pm on the same day. Exclusive developer interviews will also be streamed to Xbox LIVE members in Europe, the United States and Canada.
You’ll be able to catch the streams and recorded videos on Xbox LIVE, as well as CallofDuty.com, acebook.com/codblackops and Twitch .tv/Treyarch.
Executive vice president and CEO of European Publishing at Activision, Thibaud de Saint-Quentin commented on the event:
“With more than a quarter of a million visitors expected over four days, Gamescom provides the perfect opportunity to reveal the new Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer to European players and gaming fans from around the world. Gamescom 2012 will be the most exciting and engaging to date.”
