LittleBigPlanet series reaches new milestoneWritten by: / / No Comments
The LittleBigPlanet franchise may have skipped the first two generations of Sony’s home console but that hasn’t prevented it from becoming synonymous with the PlayStation brand over the past four years. The series taps into the rich potential of the PlayStation Network and has a passionate fan base that allows the LBP ecosystem to thrive.
Series creator Media Molecule recently announced that the seven millionth community level has been published to the LittleBigPlanet servers. This figure comprises levels from LBP and LBP2 for PS3 as well as LBP for PSP. In the past week alone 37 641 levels were published at an average rate of 3.7 levels per minute.
Media Molecule accompanied the announcement with a wonderfully creative and entertaining infographic that charts the series’ progress from the unveiling of the original LittleBigPlanet in 2007 all the way through to the two major LBP releases planned for later this year (LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting).
