New The Sims 3: Seasons screenshots showcase weather and eventsWritten by: / / No Comments
The expansion may have only just been announced last week, but EA is keen to show off more of the next addition to the Sims 3 family of games, The Sims 3: Seasons, with a batch of newly released screenshots.
“Spring has sprung in Sunset Valley,” says EA, “and the forecast predicts it’s going to be a rainy year. Your Sims better get their umbrellas ready and throw on a nice pair of galoshes with a rain coat to prepare for the months ahead!”
In The Sims 3: Seasons, players will notice all-new environmental chances to their town with things like puddles and thunderstorms, but as a result of an intense rain shower, plants and flowers will be given a chance to grow and bloom.
Blossoming flowers can lead to hay fever, though, which “can cause sneezing and lead to grumpy moods. Your Sims can take action to prevent this suffering by getting an allergy shot, as long they aren’t afraid of needles!”
New events are also promised in The Sims 3: Seasons, such as Spring Festival, and because “young love is at its peak during this time,” you’ll be able to seek out a companion in a variety of new and different ways. “Meet up with a mate on the dance floor or even try [your] luck with online dating,” suggests EA. “Good old-fashioned courting is another possibility for those Sims who prefer to put their feelings in writing and pen a poignant love letter.”
“In addition to looking for love at the spring fling or the kissing booth, there’s a lot more fun to be had at the spring festival.”
Face-painting, visiting various stands at the festival for pies, punch and bunny pops and taking part in an egg hunt are just some of the other activities coming soon to Sims 3 with Seasons, while “skating around the roller rink, throwing a pool party or getting caught in the midst of a water balloon fight” are other events you can look forward to.
The Sims 3: Seasons, an expansion for The Sims 3, is due for release on November 16th on PC and Mac.
