Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy patch now available in the WestWritten by: / / No Comments
Metal Gear Solid 4 may have been released four years ago but it remains one of the best-selling PS3 exclusives of all time with 5.65 million units sold. Last month MGS4 developer Kojima Productions confirmed that a patch was on the way that would add Trophy support along with new install options – providing fans with an excellent incentive to revisit the latest numbered entry in the MGS franchise.
The patch went live this morning and is now available to download worldwide. The patch updates MGS4 to version 2.00 and weighs in at 516 MB. It introduces 34 Trophies and provides you with two new install options – “Full Install” and “Cumulative Install”. The first option uses just over 9 GB of hard drive space and should take roughly 16 minutes to complete. The second option installs new data between the game’s chapters but doesn’t delete the previous chapter’s install data as was the case in the original version.
MGS4 version 2.00 also strips away the “Metal Gear Online” menu option as the MGO servers were laid to rest on June 12th.
Are you looking forward to earning every one of MGS4’s 34 Trophies or are you happy to leave this game in the past? Let us know in the comments.
