Today’s EA Summer Showcase has brought some new Battlefield 3 details, with screenshots for the game’s upcoming ‘Armored Kill’ add-on and details on next year’s content, End Game.
Armored Kill was demonstrated beautifully in a gameplay trailer last month, but today we get a look at one of the content’s maps, Armoured Shield, which is set in the fields of Sennoy, Russia.
Armored Kill will feature the intriguing ‘Tank Superiority’ mode, which will see two teams of 12 players (in tanks) scrambling to control a single flag on the battlefield. Armored Kill is out for Battlefield 3 in September and will add four new maps – here’s a look at Armoured Shield:
Also detailed a little further at the showcase event was Battlefield 3: End Game, downloadable content that is only due out in March 2013.
End Game will feature the inclusion of motorcycles and other new vehicles, as well as new maps and more content. In-between the release of Armored Kill and End Game will be Aftermath in December – we hope to get more information on that add-on soon, too, but for now the video below will have to do.
