In January an Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) listing for Grand Theft Auto III surfaced, leading people to speculate that the game was headed to PS3 either as a HD remaster or as part of the PS2 Classics range on PSN.
Now a new episode of the PlayStation Blogcast has confirmed that GTA III will be making its way to the US PlayStation Store as early as next Tuesday, July 31st. The game will cost $9.99 and is an unaltered version of the critically acclaimed PS2 title from 2001.
GTA: Vice City also received an ESRB rating in January so it’s likely that the game will be added to the PS2 Classics range during the next few months. There’s still no sign of GTA: San Andreas but perhaps it will be remastered in HD and sold around the launch of Grand Theft Auto V.
