If you’ve played a Resident Evil game then odds are you’ve seen the Umbrella Corporation’s octagonal red and white logo pop up at some point during your zombie-filled escapades. The fictional pharmaceutical company’s logo resembles the overhead view of an umbrella, thus serving as inspiration for Capcom’s latest pre-order bonus for Resident Evil 6.
As detailed on the Capcom-Unity Blog, pre-ordering the game from the Capcom Store will net you an Umbrella Corporation umbrella along with a custom sleeve to store it in.
Not everyone you pass with your brand new acquisition will get the joke, to be sure, but your gaming and film loving friends with even a basic knowledge of the series should all have their curiosity well and truly piqued by this very rare accessory.
Resident Evil 6 will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 2nd in the US and European territories. A PC version is expected at a later date.
