The beta is currently only available to PlayStation Plus members and features the original batch of six fighters that were announced alongside the game.

The beta is expected to be released on the US PlayStation Store in early August, based on a recent comment by Morgan Haro – community manager for PlayStation Digital Platforms. Those of us in PAL territories should have access to the beta shortly thereafter, although it may be limited to Plus subscribers as is the case in Asia.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be released for PS3 and PS Vita on October 23rd in the US and October 26th in the UK. Head over here for Wayne’s informative hands-on preview from E3 of this potentially mighty mash-up brawler.
