This week’s 3DS eShop line-up features a healthy selection of genres to choose from. Wario Land II offers classic platforming action from the Game Boy Color era while Zuma’s Revenge! is a fairly recent puzzle title from Bejeweled developer PopCap Games. Finally, Flip the Core is an innovative shoot ‘em up from Dutch studio and longtime Nintendo supporter Engine Software.
Here’s this week’s eShop Update in full:
Wario Land II – £4.50 / €5.00
- Wario slept soundly every night, knowing his precious treasure was safely locked away… That was until the Black Sugar Gang broke in and pinched the lot! Help Wario recover his riches in this classic, comical platformer. Wario can’t be hurt, but certain enemy attacks will have weird effects on his body, transforming him into new guises such as flaming Hot Wario or Zombie Wario ‒ each with unique abilities. Solve puzzles, play minigames, and look for hidden exits that lead to more treasure and even different game endings.
Zuma’s Revenge! – £7.20 / €8.00
- Play the ribbeting, ball-blasting sequel – now on Nintendo DSiWare! An irresistible force has taken our fearless frog to a newly evolved world of Zuma, ruled by evil tiki bosses. Fire stone spheres to destroy the deadly stream of balls in this PopCap, ball-blasting challenge on Nintendo DSiWare! Conquer over 60 adventure levels and battle six imposing tiki bosses. Leap into the all-new Daily Dungeon and take a shot at three daily challenges. Slide and hop for smarter shots, hit targets for exotic bonuses and detonate explosive power-up balls. Will you succumb to the perilous pitfalls, or can you tame the jungle and guide your agile amphibian to victory?
Flip the Core – £1.80 / €2.00
- Before the Big Bang shaped the universe as we know it, a place existed with fewer dimensions than we have today. It is there that our hero’s journey began, and he carried with him a special device that allowed him to flip between these flat dimensions… Flip the Core is an artistic and unique take on the classic shoot ‘em up genre and combines fast shooting action with strategic thinking. In this side-scrolling action game, you can literally flip your screen at will, changing walls into tunnels, a death trap into a passageway and moving an enemy from one spot to the next. Unless you truly believe in dead ends…there are none.
