Namco Bandai is really ramping up the intensity of its marketing campaign for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 as we get nearer to the game’s September launch. The publisher recently released two trailers that showcase just how feature-filled this follow-up to the original PS2 launch title is going to be.
For starters the game features over 50 characters each sporting their own CGI ending – these can be unlocked by completing the Arcade Battle mode with your chosen fighter. Furthermore TTT2 boasts a ‘variable match system’ that allows players to choose between 1 vs 1, 1 vs 2 or 2 vs 2 fights – perfect for when you want to fight as a single character or set up three-player multiplayer matches.
Item Moves make a welcome return from Tekken 6, permitting characters to perform a variety of outrageous attacks based on the items you equip them with.
Take a look at the trailers below for the full range of features you can expect from this ambitious addition to the Tekken series:
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 11th in the US and September 14th in PAL territories. A Wii U version will accompany the console’s launch later this year.
