It’s been four years since the CGI-animated film Resident Evil: Degeneration thrilled audiences with its action-packed set pieces and jaw-dropping visuals. Thankfully a sequel has been in the works for some time and will be released in Japanese theatres on October 27th, and on Blu-ray and DVD a month earlier in the West on September 25th.
The film is once again directed by Makoto Kamiya and produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi, and involves three Japanese studios – Capcom, Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan and Digital Frontier – working together to create cutting-edge CGI artistry.
Resident Evil: Damnation will see the return of familiar characters such as Leon Kennedy and Ada Wong as they try to suppress all manner of menacing bio-organic weapons which have been unleashed in the European warzone.
