Activision bringing Angry Birds to consoles with Kinect and Move supportWritten by: / / No Comments
They’ve spread to nearly every mobile gaming device known to humanity, with appearances on PC and tablets, too, but Rovio still isn’t satisfied with the world domination efforts of Angry Birds – more platforms need to infected!
So it is that Activision and Rovio will soon be bringing the catapult shooting gameplay of Angry Birds to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and 3DS, with extra content and features planned for what they call: Angry Birds Trilogy!
Due for release in the fourth quarter of 2012, Angry Birds Trilogy is a compilation of the previously released versions of the game, namely Angry Birds, Angry Birds: Seasons and Angry Birds: Rio.
Angry Birds Trilogy will make its way onto Xbox 360 (with Kinect support), PlayStation 3 (with PlayStation Move support) and Nintendo 3DS sporting “stunning HD” visuals and newly designed control schemes.
“With Angry Birds Trilogy, every version supports the unique experience tailor-made for the platform,” says Executive Vice President, Rovio Entertainment, Petri Järvilehto. “In addition to normal gamepad controls, with Xbox 360 we support Kinect for easy family-friendly game play. We’re seeing that resonate strongly especially with the younger audience.
“With PS3 you can play also with the Move controller. On Nintendo 3DS we’re supporting Stereoscopic 3D and Streetpass. We are working hard to ensure that no matter what platform you choose to play on, you will always get the best possible game play experience.”
Another way to play Angry Birds, but have you had your fill of the game or is there still room for more rounds of fort-destruction?
