PS3 fans have been begging Kojima Productions to patch in Trophy support for Metal Gear Solid 4 for many years now. The game was released six months before Sony made Trophies mandatory for every PS3 release so the ball has been squarely in the Japanese developer’s court ever since.
Now Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has told Japanese publication Famitsu that MGS4 will be getting a Trophy patch to coincide with the Japanese release of a budget version of the game. It will be released this August and supports Trophies out the box. The patch should be made available to existing MGS4 owners from all regions at this time.
Will you be revisiting Metal Gear Solid 4 or playing it for the first time once Trophies have been patched in? Let us know in the comments.
