This past Sunday was our 6th Forza Sunday themed event, the Hot Hatch Challenge, which also saw our biggest turn out to date.
The night didn’t get off to a great start, however, and the usual Forza technical difficulties prevented us from starting at the scheduled time of 21:00, but the race always goes on. Credit must go to our Forza Sunday hosts, who were really resourceful in getting things going again as well as a big thanks to all those that persevered with us, especially all the newcomers.
Once proceedings eventually got underway, the racing was quite ferocious! Seven races in the evening across two lobbies on tracks all over the world kept us racing ‘till late in the night. I was still all the way at the back, don’t get me wrong, but up front there was all sorts of action going on.
If we weren’t already blown away by the bigger than usual turnout, we certainly were by the amount of effort put into the paint work and vinyls on some of the cars, with some people saying they put in more than a week’s worth of time into their cars. As a result, collisions were few and far between as racers didn’t want to mess up their paint jobs!
That didn’t mean there weren’t collisions though.
The final results have been tallied and verified. Congratulations to CMR member Bincx who narrowly edged out compatriot z00bear to win himself the honour of Hot Hatch bragging rights!
Thanks once again to all the participants – we hope to see you all again at the next Forza Sunday, every Sunday evening at 20:30, for more Forza 4 action!
