Sir Paul McCartney may have just turned 70 but this hasn’t stopped him from embracing relatively recent forms of entertainment such as videogames. Over the weekend the former Beatles frontman posted the following photo on Facebook with the underlying caption: “I’m really excited to be working on writing music with Bungie, the studio that made Halo.”

Earlier this year McCartney told the Express that he was composing music for an unnamed videogame. Therefore these two pieces of evidence suggest that he is currently writing music for the first entry in Bungie’s new series codenamed ‘Destiny’, which is due out at the end of 2013 according to an agreement document between Activision and Bungie that surfaced during the lawsuit involving Activision and ex-Infinity Ward bosses Jason West and Vince Zampella. The document describes ‘Destiny’ as a “massively-multiplayer-style, sci-fi fantasy, action shooter,” with “persistent elements.”
