Atlus USA has announced that Persona 4 Arena will be region-locked on both Xbox 360 and PS3, meaning that those of us in PAL territories won’t be able to import the Japanese or North American version of the game ahead of its European launch later this year.
The publisher also confirmed that Persona 4 Arena’s online servers will be global so there will be no barrier to playing against overseas opponents. The US and Japanese versions of the game also allow you to switch between English and Japanese text and voice at any time.
Persona 4 Arena will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on August 7th in the US. Zen United has signed on to publish the game in European territories but no release date has been locked down for the region as yet.
