Hot on the heels of Namco Bandai’s announcement for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and the release of its debut trailer, another Naruto game has been revealed, except it’s decidedly more diminutive than its sibling.

Enter Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden, a 2D side-scrolling action game on 3DS, starring chibi versions of Naruto and the franchise’s super popular martial artist, Rock Lee!

Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden is due for release in Japan later this year (‘Winter’ 2012), but no official announcement regarding a release in North America and Europe has been made.
