Persona 4 Arena is being developed by Arc System Works – the same team behind the BlazBlue series. The BlazBlue titles are renowned for featuring story modes that contain a lot more dialogue and narrative elements than you would expect from a fighting game, and thankfully this feature will also serve as a central aspect of Persona 4 Arena.
Writing on the game’s official blog, director Kazuhisa Wada revealed that Persona 4 Arena’s story mode will take between 30 and 40 hours to complete and will feature full voice acting along with a narrative that’s been penned by the Persona team.
Here’s a Japanese teaser trailer for the game’s story mode to whet your appetite for the full experience:
Persona 4 Arena will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on August 7th in the US and August 31st in European territories.
