We first caught wind of the PlayStation Move Racing Wheel ahead of the announcement of LittleBigPlanet Karting earlier this year, and while we’ve found out a whole lot more about the diminutive racer with Lisa’s E3 2012 hands-on preview, we don’t know too much about the wheel.
Let’s change that with a (rather technical) video demonstration of the PlayStation Move Racing Wheel, hosted by Anton Mikhailov at SCE Research and Development:
PlayStation Move Racing Wheel – Tech Demo Video Tour
“Paired with the precise tracking of PS Move,” write the PlayStation Blog, “the all new ‘Racing Wheel’ is a completely functional unit that offers second to none mechanics to control all aspects of your favorite racing games.
“From the motorcycle twist throttle to the folding grip design, Anton shows us how this new peripheral transforms your PS Move motion controller into the ultimate racing experience.”
Available this ‘Fall’ in North America for an estimated retail price of $39.99, the PlayStation Move Racing Wheel will not only support games like LittleBigPlanet Karting, but other racers such as Gran Turismo 5, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Burnout Paradise, MotorStorm Apocalypse, “and more.”
Does the PlayStation Move Racing Wheel appeal to you? Would you prefer to twiddle a controller’s analogue sticks rather than steer karts and cars around race tracks by manually steering with your hands held out in front of you?
Looks kinda’ like something The Batman would use.
