You’ve read our exclusive interview with Crystal Dynamics executive producer, Ron Rosenberg, and you’ve read Lisa’s in-depth, white-knuckle preview of Tomb Raider, but did you know who provides the voice for protagonist Lara Croft in the new game?
Until today, neither did we but Crystal Dynamics has just announced that Camilla Luddington (True Blood, Californication) has been chosen as the voice actress to portray Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider game.
Luddington was born in England but the team’s search for the next true voice of Lara Croft “was no easy task,” says Crystal Dynamics, “as it took an international talent search across Europe and the US to find the actress to deliver the right emotion and tone for the character.”
According to a post on the official Tomb Raider Facebook page, Luddington will make an appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con in July to discuss her role as Lara Croft, as well as the story behind the game.
What do you think of Luddington in the role of Lara Croft in next year’s Tomb Raider? Could you think of anyone better to play the part?
