The console version of DiRT Showdown was originally scheduled to be released on May 29th in the US but that date has now been pushed back to June 12th, according to the game’s publisher Codemasters and North American distributor Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The PC version is still on track for a May 24th release on Steam, and the original UK release date (i.e. May 25th) remains unchanged.

Codemasters stated in a press release that it and Warner Bros. had reached a decision to delay the North American console version in order to provide the game with a “clearer release window”.

DiRT Showdown sees the series return to the festival atmosphere of DiRT 2 and introduces a variety of new destructive race types that showcase the game’s advanced handling and physics model, not to mention the realistic way cars react in collisions.
