The racing genre is a fairly overcrowded space so it makes sense that developers would try to innovative as much as possible to set their game apart from the competition. Enter Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed – a kart racer that features transformable vehicles that can traverse land, sea and air!
This follow-up to 2010’s Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing will be released sometime during the fourth quarter on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita and 3DS. Sega has confirmed that at least 27 familiar faces will appear in this colourful racer, including Akira from Virtua Fighter and Vyse from Skies of Arcadia. The courses will also be inspired by well-known Sega franchises, with each circuit featuring multiple terrain types that see your ‘kart’ transforming into a car, boat or plane.
Some of the modes you can look forward to include a single-player adventure mode where you can unlock new characters and upgrade your vehicles, as well as “enhanced” online multiplayer modes featuring head-to-head races and competitive Battle Arenas.
