Frobisher Says! is a collection of over 50 wacky fast-paced mini-games, and it’s now available to all PS Vita users for free. Another 15 mini-games will also be made available as part of downloadable content on the 2nd of May for €1.99/£1.59.
If you pre-ordered the PS Vita you would have received the game free at launch, but now all PS Vita gamers can download it for free from the PlayStation Store.
The game sees Frobisher commanding players to perform different tasks, these could range from poking an otter with a stick to drawing on an egg or even stirring two bowls of soup. It showcases the PS Vita’s features, from the front and rear touch, to motion, camera and face detection, as well as the traditional controls. In addition to the singleplayer mode, you’ll also be able to enjoy fun multiplayer sessions with up to 8 friends by passing the PS Vita between the group.
Here’s how developer Ricky Hagget from Honeyslug describes the game:
“Frobisher Says is a surreal party game, where players must obey the whims of a strange little man called Frobisher, who is terribly spoilt and entirely used to getting his own way. He’s terribly demanding and a bit frightening if crossed, but his orders are often quite whimsical ‒ he might insist on players doing things like ‘poke an otter with a stick,’ ‘deliver my pudding on a toy train,’ or ‘smile at some ladies (but not at the badgers!).’ He might even ask them to prise open all the clams in his spaghetti marinara ‒ despite the fact that he doesn’t even like clams.”
Anyone tried Frobisher Says! yet? We know Pete was quite enthralled with the game at Gamescom 2011.
