Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is out on the 13th of November 2012 across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

In the interview below, Treyarch’s Mark Lamia talks about how the studio is “pushing the boundaries on every front” and including “all kinds of new gameplay” in the singleplayer campaign while doing a lot of research to make the near-future storyline “plausible.”

A first for the Call of Duty series will be branching storylines and non-linear gameplay elements that the team is “designing into the campaign” to make for “a lot of great new experiences” for players.

Lamia also teases that “if you like zombies, then you’re going to be really happy with what [Treyarch] is doing with Black Ops 2 – it’s our biggest most ambitious zombies effort ever.”

Multiplayer news is also “coming soon,” while Call of Duty Elite integration is a given.
