Ubisoft confirms Rayman Legends following leaked trailerWritten by: / / No Comments
The sequel to last year’s critically acclaimed platformer Rayman Origins is in development, Ubisoft has confirmed. This announcement came shortly after a trailer was leaked onto the internet that touted the game’s new features and also showcased Wii U exclusive elements such as tablet-specific controls.
Rayman Legends is being developed by Michel Ancel and his team at Ubisoft Montpellier – the same creative talent behind Rayman Origins. It will feature ‘legendary settings’, new playable characters, an ‘epic rendering engine’ that allows for dynamic lighting, and a feature that was sorely missing from Rayman Origins – online gameplay. Take a look at these elements and more in the leaked trailer that hit the internet last Friday:
Ubisoft has not yet announced target platforms or a release date for Rayman Legends. The game’s predecessor was on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and PS Vita so it’s fairly safe to assume that Rayman Legends will launch across multiple platforms.
We’ll keep you updated on this promising sequel as more details emerge. Until then, feel free to read about its excellent predecessor: Rayman Origins.
