As we tumble towards the reveal of the next Call of Duty title from Activision and Treyarch (now basically confirmed to be Call of Duty: Black Ops 2), two new information unlocks have appeared on the official site to clue us into the nature of the upcoming game.
First up is a new voice teaser remarking that “The future is not as far off as most people think. We’re not ready for it.”
Here it is in video form:
This, combined with previous teases, hints at a Call of Duty title with futuristic elements to it, but does this necessarily mean that the next game in the series is set in the future? Will we simply be playing in a modern-day setting with advanced technology and weaponry?
Are time travel and/or other sci-fi elements involved?
In addition, a new teaser image has appeared
And with a bit of colour:
What do you make of these latest teaserly unlocks for Treyarch’s next game?
A full reveal for Call of Duty (: Black Ops 2) is expected tomorrow, May 1st. What are you hoping for? A fully futuristic Call of Duty game? A new graphics engine? A fresh new approach to gameplay (i.e. no scripted sequences and a little more openness?).
The game has supposedly been dated for November 13th, so there’s still time for some speculation.
Let us know.
