“Dark Souls is a critically acclaimed game, developed by From Software, known for its high level of difficulty and innovative online features,” begins a statement making a case for a recent online petition.
“The problem? It’s not on PC!” the statement declared – with an exclamation mark and everything!
Whether or not that recent online petition to attempt to convince From Software to bring Dark Souls to the PC had any affect on the final decision whatsoever, it’s being reported that a PC version of the game is indeed in the works, with a planned release in August.
This information was brought to the world by NeoGAF user EviLore who posted up the first known details on Dark Souls for PC, revealed in the pages of German magazine PC Action.
Apparently, this version will be known as ‘Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition’ and will be released in August. In addition, while this game is basically identical to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Dark Souls, there will be at least two new bosses added to the experience. Gamepad support is also planned.
We’ll need to wait for official confirmation and details on Dark Souls for PC, but y’all beige box gamers had better start preparing to die…
