It’s official – The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition for Xbox 360 and PC has gone gold with just over two weeks to go until its April 17th worldwide launch! If that wasn’t enough excitement for one day, CD Projekt RED also revealed that it will hold a conference on April 5th to announce “something truly extraordinary.”

Marcin Iwiński, co-founder of CD Projekt RED, piqued our curiosity with the following statement:

“I think we will surprise players in the following weeks. On the 5th of April we will host a conference and announce something truly extraordinary – so be sure to watch our live stream at 5pm GMT that day.”

As a massive fan of the developer, I’ll be counting down the days in anticipation of seeing what announcement could possibly warrant being called “truly extraordinary”.

Give us your best guess! The Witcher 3? A new IP? The Witcher 2 on PS Vita (now that would be some accomplishment!)…?
