March may be a fairly quiet month for new PS Vita releases but a few big titles will be coming our way in April, May and June. May’s major release is Resistance: Burning Skies – the first portable game in the series since 2009’s well-received Resistance: Retribution.
This PS Vita title is being developed by Nihilistic Software – the studio behind PlayStation Move Heroes. The game is the first portable FPS to utilise dual analog sticks so it’ll be very interesting to see what kind of precision the Vita’s sticks provide for this popular genre.
Resistance: Burning Skies’ story takes place in 1951 and runs parallel to certain events in Resistance 2. The game’s hero is New York City fireman Tom Riley who battles against the invading Chimera as he tries to track down his wife and daughter.
