Medal of Honor: Warfighter revealed, set for October releaseWritten by: / / No Comments
According to a report by Game Informer, the next issue of Official Xbox Magazine will be your source of information on the follow-up to 2010’s Medal of Honor, because within the hallowed pages of OXM, you’ll discover a full exposé on the next title from Danger Close, Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
The OXM feature reports that Danger Close will handle development duties on both the singleplayer campaign and multiplayer component of Medal of Honor: Warfighter this time around and won’t enlist the help of Battlefield developer DICE for the creation of the game’s competitive online mode, as with Medal of Honor 2010.
Danger Close will, however, make use of DICE’s Frostbite 2.0 engine (the engine powering Battlefield 3, Need For Speed: The Run and other EA games), and will once again follow the story of the precise and highly skilled Tier 1 Operator class of soldiers.
While a release for Medal of Honor: Warfighter is expected in October, EA will make a full unveil at Game Developers Conference 2012 in early March, as expected.
The latest edition of OXM magazine, however, will contain screenshots, details and developer team interviews for more information, so grab that mag when you can!
