Jet Set Radio (known as Jet Grind Radio in the US) was one of the most colourful, funky and addictive titles released on the Dreamcast. Not only did the game contain a unique premise (a group of graffiti-loving street punks roaming the streets of ‘Tokyo-to’) but it was also a graphical marvel at the time thanks to its pioneering use of the cel-shading rendering technique.
A brief trailer recently posted on the Sega Blog provides ample proof that Jet Set Radio will soon be joining the company’s existing catalogue of Dreamcast titles on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade. The logo shown at the end of the teaser is a dead giveaway for gamers with even a passing knowledge of the Jet Set Radio series.
Which Dreamcast classic would you like to see Sega bring to XBLA and PSN after Jet Set Radio? Is anyone else pining for the release of Shenmue and Shenmue II on digital platforms? Let us know in the comments.
