Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D began its life as a technical demo for the 3DS which was showcased at E3 2010. Somewhere along the line Konami executives decided it would be a great idea to remake MGS3 for the 3DS and the rest, as they say, is history.
Snake Eater’s jungle setting seems like the perfect fit for the handheld’s 3D capabilities and the game’s sizeable inventory should be more accessible on the 3DS’ touch screen than it was in the original.
3DS owners will be able to sample the opening section of Snake Eater 3D via a demo which will be available on the UK 3DS eShop from this Thursday.
If you have a Circle Pad Pro then you’ll definitely want to play the demo with the new peripheral as it’s a necessity for fluid camera control in Snake Eater 3D.
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D is already out in the US and will be released on March 9th in European territories.
