There are already six Resident Evil titles available in digital form on the PlayStation Network, and today Capcom announced that two more games in the franchise will be coming to PS3 in the foreseeable future.

The two titles are Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles – on-rails shooters released on Wii in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Both games feature scenarios from previous titles in the series including, among others, Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

Resident Evil Chronicles HD Selection will include both games on a single disc; remastered in HD and with PlayStation Move support.

The game’s release date and pricing is still unknown, and it’s also unclear at this point whether the two titles will be released separately on PSN (if at all) as was the case with Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

We’ll keep you posted on this exciting addition to PS3’s Resident Evil catalogue as more details on Capcom’s latest HD collection emerge.
