The first round of downloadable content for Dead Island will be out next month.
The release of the Bloodbath Arena DLC was originally delayed to give developer Techland time to further polish the main game. We now know that the DLC will be available mid-November, with “the additional time [being] used to make sure that every Dead Island fan will receive the best experience possible on every platform.”
The Bloodbath DLC, which is a wave-based survival mode, will add four new areas and some weapons. It allows players to transfer XP into the main game, and is free to those who pre-ordered Dead Island at GameStop but will cost $10 for everyone else.
Dead Island is now available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Read Bryan’s review to find out more about the game.
