Thanks to a GameStop pre-order bonus announcement for Capcom’s Resident Evil: Revelations, we now know when we can expect to get our hands on the extended, claustrophobic adventures of Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.

And we also know about GameStop’s pre-order bonus for the game, which is cool. A release date for the game has just been announced for Europe, too, which is extra cool.

In the US, the diminutive 3DS-based action of Resident Evil: Revelations will become available on February 7th 2012, and whisks you away on a journey that takes place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5.

In Europe, and under the terms of an exclusive distribution partnership with Nintendo, Resident Evil: Revelations will make its way out into the region on January 27th 2012.

In Resident Evil: Revelations, Chris and Jill are seemingly trapped in a wayward cruise ship out at sea, and it’ll be up to them to get to the bottom of a few more mysteries involving virus outbreaks and zombie variants. Or ‘not zombie’ variants, as the case may be.
