Killzone 3 singleplayer demo available in mid-February [Update]Written by: / / No Comments
[Update] Added US date for Killzone 3 singleplayer demo. [End of Update]
If you didn’t already know, Guerilla Games’ blockbuster first-person shooter, Killzone 3, will be receiving a multiplayer open beta at the beginning of February to give us all a good sneak peek at the game’s competitive online mode.
This simply wasn’t enough, however, as Guerrilla Games has just announced that a singleplayer demo will also become available in February, only a little later in the month.
On February 15th on the US, and February 16th in Europe (and one day after the multiplayer open beta ends), the Killzone 3 singleplayer demo will launch on the PlayStation Network, available to download for everyone.
PlayStation Plus members, however, will be able to get the demo on February 8th in the US, and February 9th in Europe! The lucky sons!
According to a post on the European PlayStation Blog, there will be two separate downloads for this demo – one for stereoscopic 3D, and the other for regular 2D. One feature not available in the 3D version of the demo, though, will be Killzone 3’s split-screen cooperative mode – this will only be in the 2D version of the demo.
Both demos will be fully compatible with the PlayStation Move controllers, and will feature a single level from the campaign entitled ‘Icy Incursion,’ where you’ll be able to take the game’s jetpacks for a spin.
Killzone 3 releases on February 22nd in North America, February 23rd in Europe and February 25th in the UK! Have a look through El33tonline’s previous coverage of Killzone 3 for tons of screenshots, videos and information!
