El33tonline's PlayStation Move Buyer's Guide for Holiday 2011Written by Warren on Monday 12 Dec 2011Comrades, it’s been a little over a year since the PlayStation Move landed on our beloved shores. The honeymoon period is over and Sony has only just begun to show us how we will fight on the beaches, the landing grounds, the fields and the streets. But I am adamant that Sony will never give up and never surrender - and maybe now that the PlayStation Vita is soon to ship out - we will hopefully see more attention given to the plight of motion gaming. For this buyers guide we will be looking at games that invoke the right to Move. We will be awarding and praising those game developers who sought to revolutionize the motion controlled gaming landscape, taking full advantage of the pin-point accuracy and responsiveness of Sony’s motion controller. Nothing compares to Killzone 3 when it comes to a close up, first person action-packed experience. While this game is Move-enabled and can be played without any motion controllers, it’s fair to say that Move support was not a last minute thought – this is proved by meaningful use of gestures and an uncanny accuracy.
Can you stop Dr. Terrible’s dastardly plan for world domination? Sure you can, especially if you’ve got PlayStation Move controllers and a friend to help you play through quick and engaging mini-games ranging from rescuing Earth’s inhabitants (and your mates) from monsters, sharks, asteroids and underwater mines with fantastic use of motion-based gaming and augmented reality.
