I like the idea of the 3 monsters available to you during combat (Xbox 360)
I`m probably the first guy to do this.
I dont know what i will look forward to. I havent played any Final Fantasy games even though i`ve heard good things about it.
My attempt at entering this may not meet the requirements for this competition but from what i`ve seen and heard this is a great game. Would be a shame letting a guy like me miss out on it :-)
The impact of time travel and to have control of Serah as well as exploration (PS3)
Monster Adornment - as it are very helpful in a battle to fix the time.
Xbox 360
The 'feature' I'm looking forward to most in FF XIII-2 is: variety! I'm so glad they've added a few Quick Time Events to break up the monotony of boss battles, as well as a few puzzles to keep players busy while they travel from one group of enemies to the next.
A feature that isn't new but that still stands out for me is the tacticality (tactilness?) of the fights. Levelling up your characters properly, outfitting them with the best gear and stats and, most importantly, choosing the right teamies for the job are all important aspects in FF games that I quite enjoy :D
(XBOX 360)
A lot of stuff. They really improved a lot upon FFXIII from what I read. The whole ability to recruit monsters and the whole exploration thing has been improved upon majorly. FFXIII-2 will be FTW!
(PS3)
I haven't played Final Fantasy since FFX, so the improvements and features that I'm looking forward to is... well... Everything? :D
All the gameplay improvements sound good, but the fact that they promised to consentrate more on story line than the previous version will hopefully make the difference in this edition. The story is afterall what made classics of the series like FF7 classic...
(Xbox360 please)
There is not ONE person who has ever played a Final Fantasy game and didn't think "WELL! Wouldn't it be cool if I could catch and like fight with these awesome b*stards! Maaan; it's only a dream."
That is my draw to this game. That aspect alone makes me think "This is like a slightly cooler version of Pokemon. I MUST have it!" Then I pull this face --> D:
Then I think "I wish EL33T would give us the chance to win this. " Then I pull this face n'here --> :/
But yeah, I honestly do like Final Fantasy and think that -- personally -- it lost its way. I really want to say that I'm a fan again and I would say this game might be the one to do that. To heal me-ah. Catch ALL 150 Poke -- er, FANTASYMON!
I am SO not spell-checking this. So forgive me for the typos if any.
I'm curious to see how they've implemented the time travel/time reversal mechanic in the game. I'm going to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of time travel. It usually reeks of desperation and for the most part ends up ruining something (I'm looking at you Heroes). Then again, this is from the company that brought us the fantastic Chrono Trigger and Chrono Chross, so it should be (hopefully) interesting, even without Hironobu Sakaguchi in the picture. :)
PS3
I just want to be part of the story, was hoping for this competition to run somewhere.
Xbox
havent played any of the FF games on xbox :( so i say no random battles please :)
Exploration ps3
It has to be the Pokemon aspect of collecting all the monsters and having 3 you choose to fight with :)
I'm excited about them dropping the 30 hour long one-way corridor / tutorial. I'm also particularly excited for the time travel elements and having the ability to choose which time periods you want to tackle next.

Either platform but preferably PS3.
I'm still busy playing FF13 AFTER finishing the main story, just to max out all my characters! What i'm looking forward to most:
1) The change in the somewhat linear gameplay
2) The ability to recruit or capture enemies
3) To finally play as Sarah :x she's hot :D
4) The thought that they're improved on so much and i enjoyed the first part so much... it makes me even more keen just to play it!
With FF13 fresh in my mind I'm going to love the new one :D
Xbox 360
Recruiting monsters. But a little tongue and cheek but nonetheless very seriously the best improvement will be the absence of a thirty hour tutorial!
(PS3)
I'm looking forward to trying this game out. The combat system looks really good, I don't know how it was in the other games. I've only seen good things about this game. Please pick me. (Xbox 360 please)
After thoroughly enjoying XIII - I was very excited when I saw XIII-2's preview at rAge,
since then I've been looking forward to:
- EVEN better graphics
- More varied play vs. linear storyline
- Monsters
- Improved Battle Mechanics
- Overall Awesomeness of taking something good and making it excellent
XBOX Please :)
Three things I am most looking forward in FF!
1) The "live trigger". I enjoy dialog options in games such as skyrim. And it gets boring after a while just watching cut scenes of how the story progresses. Then you just want to skip them and carry on playing. This will be a big step for Final Fantasy as they are well known for long cut scenes.
2)Multiple endings also sounds awesome! So a play through of the games after finishing it sounds a lot more appetizing!!
3)I am the most excited about the monster taming feature! I enjoyed FF8 where you had a Guardian Force and could summon it into battle to fight. I missed that in all the other FF games. And now hopefully it is improved since the monster is a party member and does not have to be assigned to one of the characters.
Bring on the FF awesomeness!!
xbox
ps, this would be a great birthday gift ;-)
im happy that they decided on making a FF XIII-2, since XIII had that.... linear feel to it. especially after enjoying the open world environment of previous FF. thats a definite bonus
im not over awed at the menu change, thats bleh but the capturing on monsters :) awesome! i always enjoyed using the GF's and this seems to be an improvement on that.
and then of course the battle mechanics! didnt enjoy XIII mechanics as much as i enjoyed previous versions i think, would like to get a feel for the improvements
I like the new exploration. Final Fantasy XIII really suffered from the lack of it. xbox 360
Since the new FFXIII-2 will appear with the Historia Crux and travelling in time, I was hoping that it could not leave loose ends. Also, the Eidolons could be a little bit more helpful since in FFXIII they were more to fill your HP again and help defeat the Adamantoise. The side-quests (Cieth missions) were tiring and difficult in FFXIII, so in FFXIII-2 the side-quests could be a little more fun since the game appears to have several endings. I love FF series and I've played half of the games more than one time. Hopefully this game won't be different and i'll never get tired of playing again. I loved the fact that we can have monsters in battle and that we can name it and put accessories in it. It's much more open and free. Also, was a excelent choice to make Serah and a new character (Noel) the main characters of the history in a search for Lightning. Final Fantasy games always had an amazing history and this one won't be different. And he doesn't look like it's going to be like FFX-2, I was hoping for that because too many changes screw the game and they did the exactly measure with FFXIII-2. Also the cinematic actions are a great change from the first game. It gives even more bonus and are much more fun to reach the stagger point. Also, when you change a weapon it appears in the cutscene, so that is much better than in FFXIII. The option of changing the dialogues and giving a different answer is awesome too. Also, the game can give you more choice on where do you wanna go or how to fight a monster. Anyway, the improvements that I was looking forward for this game are already in it and I'll be seeing more when I get the game. The history, gameplay and characters are already great and the changes brings something much better from the first. The only thing that it was missing is the CG scenes. It appears that they've taken away a few so that the xbox 360 disc could be just one instead of three. So even with this I was hoping that could have more than 5 cutscenes in CG, that would be great. Anyway, both games are great and I'm looking forward to play the FFXIII-2. (xbox 360)
The Quick Time Events...I always had the habit of mashing the buttons during battle...thinking it does more damage
PS3
The open ended gameplay will be a return to the Final Fantasy franchise that we all know and love. Final Fantasy XII on the PS2 was one of the best open world games out there, and the fact that it was set in the Final Fantasy universe made it a truly spectacular game. I was dissapointed with the linear style of Final Fantasy XIII. Looking forward to the improved combat and of course the beautiful graphics that we have all come to expect from a Final Fantasy game :D
Xbox 360
i'm looking forward to the improved storyline and the breakaway from the linear elements of the original. I'm all for exploring the vast world in any way (and sequence) i want.
PS3 please
the first would be the ability to recruit monsters that you have beaten that i find a valuable life saver to your main characters, the open world (free roaming), and the upgraded combat system it looked really smooth. "xbox 360"
Havn't played FF since original on Nintendo as a kid. Some improvement.
Would say hoping for everything.
Never played a FF game ever so being able to recruit monsters sound nice and the open world exploring sound so very awesome PS3 please
Temporal Rift idea looks pretty cool, alo happy not to have a 20+ hour 'tutorial'
Xbox 360 Please
well im looking foward to the new fighting system
xbox360 please
I enjoyed FF13. Some people thought it fell flat the first time but I thought it was very enjoyable. The battle system was something new and improved from the previous PS2 titles active battle system. I'm looking forward to seeing how they improved on that in real time as the paradigm shifts of the previous one added a very uniques game play experience.
The one thing lacking from the previous one was the side quests and the re-introduction in FF13-2 goes back to the very roots of FF. Without them FF just doesn't feel the same. Can't wait to go have a look at what these side quests will entail.
The other thing I'm actually intriqued about seeing working is the monster introduction to parties. How they will level up and abilities they will unlock may prove very interesting.
The time travel story line and multiple endings may have a lot of replay value although a game like FF usually takes a whole lot of hours to complete, so not sure if I'll experience them all.
Overall, I'm quite amped to see the new FF in action. I'm a total FF nut and my first game I ever bought was FF10 for my PS2 and clocked 170 hours on it by unlocking all the secret weapons for each character and also doing the break limits on them. So a copy of FF13-2 on PS3 will be very welcome.
I would just like to say that my friend Ze Snake deserves a copy of this game. Ze Snake FTW!!
I've yet to play FF13, but from what I've heard the story was a bit confusing, so I would hope that FFXIII-2 would have an engaging storyline, easy to follow. And the more open-world environment would be great, seeing as FF13 was more linear. The graphics look insane on this game and it definitely looks like one of the top contenders of the year.
oh yeah for ps3
I loved FF13 truly. It wasn't the best in the series, but it had a lot of strong points that were great. my ONLY grief, that I could NOT look past at all that is fixed in XIII-2 is when the main character you were controlling would die, and suddenly for some MAGICAL UNEXPLAINED REASON, you would get a lovely game over, instead of the option to use a simple phoenix down or revival magic. With that fixed in XIII-2, I will be a much happier camper!
PS3 Version.
I like the whole idea of welcoming defeated monsters into your party. This could make things fun and interesting. More player choice and freedom to explore this time around is always awesome. I like to run around in games just for the fun of it so this will be welcomed with open arms.
(Xbox 360)
I like that they tried something thing new with this one to show that you not just playing the same game agen and also the that you can capture monsters it gives it almost a pokemon feel that gets 10 thumbs up.
The fact that the world will allow for much more free roaming. and side missions. This was the one big thing that frustrated me about FFXIII, I want to feel the world is alive! Cannot wait to get my hands on this!
Sorry, any platform!
Some of the cool new features will be the defeated monsters(three) into the party along with the ability to eidt paradigm packs. The cinematic action is also one of the new features that allow you to kick ass with some nice cinematic's its like doing that ultimate move in final fantasy where you call your spirit but you get the idea.
I'm definitely looking forward to a less linear story line. Being able to investigate things and run around for ages is what makes the game more fun!!!
Oh, PS3 please :D
I like the idea of a non-linear storyline, and monster recruitment, it appeals to me to have monsters fighting on my side versus an enemy.
PS3 please
I can't play a game with giant chicken in it....
really looking forward to playing the game, the Quick Time Events in the boss events sounds really promising. also looking forward to see how the time traveling feature will work. oooh and i gotta say from what i heard of the extra puzzles, sounds great. love doing extra little challenges in between always keeps the game fun and exciting.
ps3
