This PES 2012 competition is now closed!

Congratulations to KAubreyM for winning the Xbox 360 hamper, and Mujabees for winning the PS3 prize!

Big thanks to you all for submitting your answers, and thanks once again to Ster Kinekor for providing us with the games and shirts!

The legendary Shingo ‘Seabass’ Takatsuka and his development team at Konami are returning more fired up and determined than ever this year with the latest addition to the just-as-legendary Pro Evolution Soccer series, this time in the form of PES 2012!

PES 2012 Banner Logo

PES 2012 is going to introduce an impressive list of features this year, with additions such as Hold-up Play and One on One gameplay, while Active AI, Off the Ball control and (intriguingly) ‘Jostling’ have all been named as noteworthy advancements over last year’s entry to the franchise.

Also of great interest is the introduction of the ‘Team-mate Control’ system in PES 2012, which this year allows players to manually take control of a second player on the pitch, while your primary player still has possession of the ball!

As you can imagine, this feature has the potential to provide many different strategic opportunities during a match as you now have the freedom to set up effortless passes to weave in-between the opposition, all the way to the goal!

Hold up play for sure, makes defending that much more difficult and good for a new challenge.

The ‘Team-mate Control’ feature sounds pretty useful but I wonder if the AI takes control of your primary player.

PS3

Team-mate Control - Dependent on the implementation might seem very useful. I wonder maybe left stick primary player and right stick secondary in a kind of mini view window and maybe motion control for current player. You could have a player where you want him instead of relying on the AI and can create custom set pieces kind of.

Teammate Control system, where a secondary player may be controlled and this is important as it will give users more control over the on-field action (Xbox 360).

Active AI as it will make the game more realistic - Xbox 360

Hold Up play for me - as it provides a counteraction to possible exploits of dribbling mechanics/AI whilst in control of the more skilled players...This is vital for balance in any football game especially in multiplayer and so far from what I've played its implemented well in PES 2012

Team control as it adds a new and more realistic feel to the game play and it just sounds like it has swag.

Active AI I think is incredibly important. Without it the opponent is either overpowered or too weak. Also, when your team is running around (when you're not controlling them) their AI needs to be superb as well.

Active AI is a great PLUS. it will make the game feel more real than just mindless AI running around on the field. (Xbox 360)

I would say ONE ON ONE GAMEPLAY. Many key moments in a football match are determined in one on one situations. Improvement on this feature will result in better flow of the game because of more precise control of an individual player in turn causing less breaks in exciting gameplay

One on one gameplay as it creates a deeper involvement in the game personally. (xbox 360)

Active AI.... Improved AI will eliminate the frustration of only being able to control one player at a time in future football games. (XBOX 360)

Hold up play will make the game more interesting and will provide a bigger challenge (PS3)
