Win a massive Driver: San Francisco hamper! (Closed) - (Closed)

This Driver: San Francisco competition is now closed!

Congratulations to Jarrod L. (NoodleZA) for winning this jaw-dropping prize!

Thanks to everybody for telling us what they’re looking forward to in Driver: San Francisco and indulging our curiosity regarding the coma-imbued escapades of Detective John Tanner!

Big thanks again to Ubisoft South Africa for providing the amazing prize!

Driver: San Francisco is now available in most European territories, and will soon launch in the US, too. Unfortunately, those of us in South Africa will have to wait a little while longer to get our hands on the game’s action racing and unique ‘Shift’ ability.

To try and help make up for the small delay, El33tonline and Megarom are giving away a massive, whopping Driver: San Francisco hamper which includes all kinds of awesome goodies, as well as a PlayStation 3 version of the game.

Driver: San Francisco - Prize ImageBut what’s this ‘Shift’ thing all about?

In Driver: San Francisco, the ‘Shift’ ability allows you to instantly take control of another car on the road, transferring you from one driver to another - kind of like a teleportation ability.

This gameplay mechanic is explained away in the story of Driver, as protagonist Detective John Tanner has been involved in an accident and slipped into a coma. From this state, Tanner is able to ‘project’ out of one vehicle and into a different one to continue driving. It’s not yet clear whether or not this means Tanner is dreaming or ‘reliving’ the action of the game, but we’re sure to find out when we get to go hands-on with the full game!

Of course, that’s not all!

Driver: San Francisco also includes masses of high octane car chases through the storied streets of the titular city, as well as over 208 miles of road and more than 120 fully licensed, fully destructible cars!

What’s up for grabs in the hamper? Here’s that awesome list of goodies:

- Driver: San Francisco on PS3
- Soundtrack on LP
- T-Shirt
- Keyring
- Poster
- Stickers
- Unlockable code.

Worth playing for? Of course it is! Here’s how you stand a chance of winning:

First Method:

Follow El33tonline on Twitter and then click below to tweet the following message:

I want to win Driver: San Francisco and a massive hamper!

Just hit that ‘tweet’ button - easy!

Second Method:

Simply comment on our Facebook page and tell us what you’re most looking forward to seeing in Driver: San Francisco!

Third Method:

Simply leave a comment below telling us:

“How do you think the Shift ability in Driver: San Francisco will be explained - is Tanner having a dream, is he reliving past events in his life, or is there something supernatural going on?”

Entering the competition in these three ways will gain you entry, but entering with all three methods will increase your chances of winning!

You have until the end of this weekend, and the end of Sunday, September 4th, to get your entries in!

Thanks to Megarom and Ubisoft South Africa for sponsoring this hectic prize!

Please Note: This competition is open only to South African residents.

He is dreaming, must be! He is still in his coma, reliving the actions which placed him in the coma in the first place, but from different perspectives.

Awesome awesome comp!

Tanner is in a dream and living it out like in Inception and now he has to go through each phase of his story until he comes to the end and thus being able to wake up. Its not only a dream its also something out of the ordinary that can only be explained when its all over and done with

I think its most probably a dream of past events in his life. Very long dream at that.

I think it's like a coma dream. (Did I just say that?)
Somehow it will link to what happens in the real world.

The shift question is actually a good one. There's tons if ways it could play out but I think it might be some subconscious dream state thing going on. So yeah, maybe the whole thing is dream that somehow acts out in reality :-D
