Win exclusive inFamous 2 sneakers and shirts! (Closed) - (Closed)
This inFamous 2 competition is now closed!
Massive congratulations to Richard M. (Synergy), Ahmad S., Wade K. (… Wade Kruger) and Wessley G. (xdvd) for each winning a pair of the Puma sneakers, and that shirt!
We’ll be contacting you all in due course, so sit tight!
Big thanks to everybody for entering the competition, and special thanks go to Ster Kinekor for providing the prizes!
Sony and Sucker Punch’s follow-up to the excellent inFamous recently released in the form of the similarly excellent inFamous 2, an action adventure game that follows the journey of the increasingly powerful electrical superhero, Cole MacGrath.
In inFamous 2, Cole will be faced with the enormous challenge of growing stronger and gaining new skills to eventually fight and destroy a looming threat – the devastating, city-destroying ‘Beast.’
This time, however, Cole won’t be limited to the use of his electrical powers – he’ll also have access to overwhelming Fire and Ice powers. But in order to gain these new abilities, you as the player will need to make some tough moral choices along the way to increase your ‘Good’ or ‘Evil’ karma levels.
The more morally ‘Good’ you are, the more Ice powers you learn, while the more ‘Evil’ you are, the more Fire powers you discover, with your karma being affected by your in-game actions. Helpful and kind? You’re Good. Selfish and malicious? You’re Evil.
To mark the release of inFamous 2, El33tonline and Ster Kinekor are exclusively giving away four pairs of awesome themed Puma sneakers, as well as four inFamous shirts. What’s even more awesome is that two of the pairs of shoes are red, and the other two are blue, perfectly representing the Good and Evil moral choices that you and Cole will face in inFamous 2.
For a chance to win a pair of these Puma sneakers, we’re going to put your morality to the test with a little story. At the end of the tale, you’ll need to vote on your course of action.
If you vote ‘Good,’ you have a chance of winning the blue shoes. Vote ‘Evil,’ and you might just win the red shoes. And just to celebrate the moral grey areas that inFamous 2 explores, you can vote both ways, but then you won’t have a choice in the shoe colour.
Here’s what you’re playing for:
Let’s begin:
“The Beast chased Cole relentlessly, providing no chance for the supposed ‘Hero of New Marais’ to fight back. As the battle wore on, it was clear that The Beast was dictating the conflict, pushing Cole further and further into the populated regions of the city, with a path of absolute destruction left in the pair’s wake.
Cole had to do something drastic.
He was growing weaker by the second and wouldn’t be able to last much longer against the might of The Beast. Up ahead, he glimpsed the bright lights of the New Marais hospital shining as a beacon of hope… but he knew simple medical care wouldn’t help him now. In order to drive The Beast back and destroy the behemoth, Cole would need a new source of electrical power and the hospital’s generators would provide all of the juice he needed, and more, to put The Beast down for good.
The thing is, this hospital served hundreds of severely wounded and dying patients – patients who probably wound up here because of the havoc caused by Cole and The Beast. If Cole sucked the building’s power generators dry, the hospital’s operation would grind to a halt, spelling certain death for its occupants.
Cole had to make a decision.
He could either A.) take the power he needed from the hospital to defeat The Beast and put the patients at risk, or B.) let the battle with The Beast rage on further into the city, potentially putting hundreds of other lives at risk, in search of another power source to destroy the enemy…”
So what do you think? Should Cole decide on A, or B?
- If you think A, and you want to win the red sneakers, simply leave a comment below (with your shoe size, please).
- If you think B, and you want to win the blue sneakers, leave a comment on our Facebook competition page (with your shoe size, please).
- If you can’t decide (and for two competition entries), simply vote below and on our Facebook competition page (once again, please include your shoe size).
You have until June 29th to make your decision.
Special thanks to Ster Kinekor for sponsoring the prizes!
